I dry the skins of clementines (and tangerines and tangelos) on a little rack on top of the ‘firebox’…the scent is delicious and once dry they go into a jar to use as firelighters (the oil in them burns either a snap, crackle and pop!).

I did this one year India...though I laid all the skins out to 'air' dry! I wonder what kind of rack you use atop the firebox? Heaven knows...there are enough of them to do this with! :)))

I prop a cake rack on top of a large tin (something like a Milo tin) from which the base has been removed :: so that it’s just a big cylinder. Dries them effectively without spontaneous combustion 🧡
