You have the energy too dear India...it comes from having our hands in the earth and all that stems from it. I'm still (haha!) hoping we might (by some miracle) have the good luck to capture the essence of your damask rose at our workshop in November...

My earliest garden memories are of concocting potions made from leaves and flowers. I’ve spent over half my lifetime working with dyes from leaves and flowers and now that the ecoprint has spread so far and wide am in the process of gradually shifting the focus of my own practice to fragrance, coming full circle to the backyard potion-maker I once was. I’d hoped to be farther along that path by now, but dreaming up and writing courses for my school seems to eat up so many hours. That idea you had of bottling your energy sounds like a good one, Mickey. Folks would be lining up around the block for it.

What a wonderful post you created this week Mickey. Memories that never leave you of times past are something I also treasure. My mother had the tiniest bottle of Crepe de Chine which I brought home with me after she died. I don’t know how long she had had it, but 26 years later (3/9) I can open that bottle and still smell my mum.
