A little mid-winter indulgence...

It’s a long time now, since I’ve written a post for those amongst you who so very kindly make a wee weekly payment for my scribblings on this platform, and for those who have been committed enough to take an annual paid subscription to these posts. I know I’ve promised over and over that a special post will come your way…and so, as we find ourselves here in the midst of winter, I can think of no better time to spoil you with a little treat…which will likely be so for me too; as honestly? I haven’t had a moment to reflect on those few weeks last year that in reality, were a marker in time of some substance in the scheme of life’s big things.
As ever, I’ve no idea where this post may lead - in a funny kind of way too much time has passed since I meant to write to you of this escapade, so it will likely be a bit of a jumbled mix as I rollick between thoughts. Where, I wonder, will these well worn, painted planks of timber take us? Not into the sea, that’s for sure!
As I recall, the wind was howling, my hair flapping about all over my face, strands whipping into my eyes as I pulled the jumper thrown around my shoulders closer, my feet gathering pace as I found myself keen to get back to the still warmth of the car (all legs now well and truly stretched after part one of the day’s adventure) and shift her gears into action for the next stage of the twisting, winding, ever-revealing road ahead…
But I’m getting way ahead of our actual timetable. Don’t worry…I won’t bore you with a day by day account…you deserve more than that!
